Adidas Manchester United 2015-2016 Home Kit – Breaking Expectations


Reunited at last! Manchester United or adidas are back again together with the official launch of the 2015/16 Home Kit. As you’d expect, Red is the colour, or everything regarding this jersey takes inspiration from the classic three-stripe United kits from the 1980s.

adidas has, obviously, re-engineered the iconic designs with a modern twist, taking familiar style functions that were loved by the lovers or combined them with the recent performance technology. The result is a modern, modern classics. The new shirts involve the recent in adidas lightweight or breathable technologies to ensure the players take to the pitch with the most modern kit design ever.

The new home kit, which will be debuted in the opening game of the season at Old Trafford, functions a classic v neck cut collar or three stripe design down the shoulder. There is also a graphic design on the hem of the shirt taken from the 1990 shirt popularly worn by Ryan Giggs in his debut season.

The design of the new kits has been your own passion for adidas designer, Ingo Turner who is a lifelong Manchester United fan. Turner stated:

At adidas we have been on an actual journey in creating these new kits for Manchester United. This landmark sponsorship is not the first-time we have partnered with the Club and it is with these iconic kits of the past that we drew our inspiration from. We have aimed to break expectations by reengineering simple but impactful design features such as the classic v-neck collar so the iconic three-stripe detailing down the arms since our commitment to giving Manchester United a truly ground breaking kit for the 2015/16 season.

We had eyes on the ground at the adidas Manchester United 2015/16 kit launch tonight, since we took in a first hand look at the new kit. Everything regarding the venue paid homage to the older design kits, but it was inspired with the ideals of latest designs. Daley Blind or Phil Jones were the players on hand debuting the kits.
